About the Filmmakers
Robin Petré is an award-winning Danish director and screenwriter whose films explore the relationship between humans and nature. Her debut feature From the Wild Sea (2021) premiered at the Berlinale and established her as a strong new voice in creative documentary. Her latest film Only on Earth (2025) also premiered at the Berlinale, continuing her exploration of our fragile coexistence with the natural world.
Monica Hellström is a three-time Oscar® nominee for producing Flee (nominated Best Documentary Feature and Best Animated Feature 2022) and A House Made of Splinters (nominated Best Documentary Feature 2023). She’s a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and European Film Academy. She was selected for Producer on the Move, Cannes (2020). She’s an Alumni of EAVE Workshop (2010) and of ACE 2023 and holds an MA in film from the University of Copenhagen (DK) and a BA in film from the University of Bedfordshire (UK). Before starting Ström Pictures she was a producer at Final Cut for Real for twelve years, since 2010. She served as a jury member for the World Cinema Documentary competition for Sundance Film Festival and CPH:DOX DOX AWARD in 2024 and sitting on the board of the Copenhagen based Film Workshop.
