Mauricio Monteiro Filho
Mauricio is an Emmy-nominated Brazilian documentary director and director of photography. He recently co-directed and DoP’d FLORDELIS: IN THE NAME OF THE MOTHER, a premium four-episode true crime series with a strong, present tense narrative for HBO Max. With Oscar-winning director Orlando Von Einsiedel, Mauricio co-directed and shot feature documentary CONVERGENCE: COURAGE IN A CRISIS, a Netflix Original production on those who took to the frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to this, as a special investigative reporter at Rolling Stone Brazil he has covered human-interest and socio-environmental impact stories. He also co-founded Repórter Brasil, a pioneering investigative newsroom in the coverage of modern day slavery in Brazil. Mauricio has worked with renowned international production companies and channels including Pulse Films, Grain Media, Wall to Wall, Vice, Channel Four, Nutopia, Noah Media and First Look Media, as director, director of photography and producer.

Charlie is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and journalist who was recently overseeing Vice News’ Specials slate as well as several returning series. He commissioned and produced over 30 investigative current affairs films on global politics, human rights abuses and crime. His films have been seen by millions of people around the world and have provoked conversations that've had resounding impacts, including the release of political prisoners in Uganda, the initiation of protective legislation against femicide in Central America, and a hard-hitting documentary he coproduced on police abuse scandals in Azerbaijan that garnered several awards across multiple independent film festivals. Previously Charlie worked across East Africa documenting geopolitical issues around civil war and environmental change for The Guardian, AJE and The Atlantic amongst others and has received grants from Pulitzer Centre For Crisis Reporting and Media Trust for his work. Between 2020-21, he was on the One World Media commissioners panel.
